Online poker has been a favourite amongst internet savvy men for many years, but now more and more women are turning to play poker online, and quickly realising that they are very good at it!

Poker certainly not an easy game to play in my opinion. You need to develop your own poker strategy. I'm not sure that I have fully found mine yet as I haven't made my fortune from playing online poker, although many have. I have taken a few big pots from the table, but I think it was more fluke than strategic play! I stick to Texas Holdem poker, but there are other variations and you should try them all to see which one is best for you.

If you haven't played online poker tournaments before, then I urge you to give it a try, it is really different to the traditional sitting at a table with a few players. I was terrified the first time I entered an online freeroll poker tournament, but I came in third place, which gave me the confidence to try again. From then on I have been a regular online poker tournie player!

All of these poker online sites offer many freeroll tournaments, with real cash prizes or entries into bigger tournaments, so you have nothing to lose by joining, but plenty to gain.
